Every day we meet
Yet, each meeting is special
Come rain or shine
We always have a story to share
This particular picture, I hade taken in Gangtok, the capital of the Indian state of Sikkim, sometime in December 2014. Looking outside my window, I noticed that the lights of the city were slowly fading out. The city was shutting down for the night. Gazing beyond, I looked at the mountains, in the distance. Darkness was setting in, but there was still the last glow of light on the horizon. It was as if the daylight was saying its goodbyes of the day.
The clouds were low on the horizon, kissing the mountain peak as if suggesting the meeting of two endearing friends. This picture in low light just seemed to set alight emotions of joy and togetherness. Light adds color to a photograph when it is bright, but it adds a different dimension when it is fading away as well.
