Rise, brothers, rise; the wakening skies pray to the morning light,
The wind lies asleep in the arms of the dawn like a child that has cried all night.
Come, let us gather our nets from the shore and set our catamarans free,
To capture the leaping wealth of the tide, for we are the kings of the sea!

......Sarojini Naidu ( The Coromandel Fishers)

When I had thought of starting the blog, my focus was on my photo collection and also on the photo contributions of my friends. But during an interaction with one of my colleagues, the thought of including paintings also came about. Why not!! I thought to myself. A photograph and a painting capture the moment, whether it is the artists imagination or what the photographer is seeing in front of him.

The above painting by Master Manmay Chaudhary, all of 11 years old and a passionate painter, reminds you instantly, of the poem Coromandel Fishers, penned by Sarojini Naidu-The Nightingale of India.

Keep going Manmay, we would love to see more from You!!
