You are my best friend
And my partner in crime
Hand upon hand
Feet upon feet
Away we go
On a rainy day
Or on a moonlight night
Caring less for the world around
As our world is just YOU and ME
Every child’s first “automobile” is the cycle. It just gave you the freedom to move, to mingle and know the world around. It gave wings to dreams. It has also planted the seeds of a career in automobile engineering for some. But for a large part of the growing population in a country like ours, having a cycle helps you survive. It also helps the rural student population a chance for a better life. Access to education is what every child craves.
The two-wheeler revolution in the cities today has relegated the bicycle to near obsolescence. But it is still going strong in rural India and the developing countries. Low on maintenance, this accessory has been intertwined with so much of their lives. This picture shows the disarray in the parking lot in the pursuit of education. The cycle is still the overall winner here.
